Camper Code of Conduct 2020
This code is in effect from the 14th day of May, 2020.
To All Campers:
Olympia Village RV Park & Campground welcomes you back! Please read this Code of Conduct (The Code) and review it with all family members. The rules in this Code must be followed to ensure we all stay safe and do not engage in activities that contravene any Provincial or Federal Government regulations and ensure we comply with all health regulations.
This Code is over and above our normal campground rules, which still apply. Strict enforcement of all rules will be in place for all registered names on your occupancy agreement. Any camper regardless of age, who breaches this Code will be asked to leave the campground immediately and your Licence of Occupation will be canceled immediately.
If you have a fever or flu-type symptoms, please stay home. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, are a presumptive case, or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive or is a presumptive case, we request that you do not attempt to enter the campground. Please remain at your residence until you have been cleared by your local health department and/or you have finished your self-isolation of 14 days.
If you are returning from travel from outside of the Province of Ontario, do not plan to visit the campground for a period of 14 days, please remain home.
At this time, we will be operating under the following rules. These rules may change as the Ontario or Federal Government amends legislation.
Until further notice, only people whose names are listed on the License of Occupation will be permitted in Olympia Village RV Park & Campground.
The following common areas are CLOSED until further notice. If you are unsure whether something is closed or not, please contact the office by phone call only for clarification.
Snack Bar & Patio, Pool Washrooms, Laundry, Pavilion, Playground and Greenspace around it, Pool Area, Horse Shoe Pits, Pond, and Greenspace around it and the front field. There will be no access to the forested area at the back of the park.
Walking around Campground:
At all times campers must obey social distancing rules as mandated by the Province of Ontario. Currently, you must stay 2 meters or 6 feet away from other campers. Walking on roads only.
Limit of People on a Campsite:
Until such time as the Government of Ontario amends the number of people allowed to gather, we are limiting the number of people allowed to gather at a campsite to only the people listed on the license of occupation, or from another Olympia campsite, to a maximum of 5 people.
Children and/or Under the age of 16:
We expect that all parents will ensure their children will obey the rules 24/7. If your children cannot follow these rules, please do not bring them to the campground at this time.
Unless accompanied by an adult, children will not be permitted to ride bicycles around the campground.
Events/Activities CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Park events such as Dances, Bingo, Cards, Washers, Adult Darts, Kids Darts, Kids Horse Shoes, and Adult Horseshoes.
Golf Carts are restricted to one driver. Passengers accompanying the driver must be from the same household.
Limit of campers in an area:
Social distancing and gathering rules of a maximum of 5 people must be followed at all times.
Until such a time as our local supply chain can accommodate seasonal visitors to our region please bring all food and other supplies with you.
The office is open for limited hours. Please do not enter the office until advised. Please line up outside of the office and obey all social distancing rules and signage.
If you are with a family member please ask them to remain outside unless it is required they are present.
If you are coming into the office practice social distancing. Please bring your own pen for the purpose of signing documentation.
Garbage and Recycle
Normal garbage pickup will be suspended until further notice. All garbage must be brought to the front of the park and disposed of in the appropriate containers when you are leaving the park. All recycling is to be brought to the pavilion for disposal. Please place recycling in appropriate containers.
